Rare Vintage: Dodge’s Yellow Picture-Book, 1930’s-illustrated by John Hassall

Fabulous black and white and colored illustrations by John Hassall in this undated, vintage, hardcover, children’s book of nursery rhymes. In the inside page it states Dodge Publishing Co. in New York. However, on the last page it states, “Printed in Great Britain, At the Villafield Press in Glasgow, Scotland” which may refer just to this illustration of “Dickory Dickory Dock.” Most of the illustrations are signed and in good condition with some foxing. There are 9 color illustrations—The colors are striking. The book is in poor condition with a loose binding, a loose page, torn pages, and water damage. Illustrations are in good condition. A rare find!
